Det här utvecklingsarbetet har som syfte att ta fram språkutvecklande aktiviteter som motiverar och väcker elevernas nyfikenhet. Aktiviteterna är tänkta att tilltala flera sinnen. Jag har planerat fem aktiviteter som på olika sätt ska bidra till elevernas språkutveckling. Av dessa har jag genomfört tre och observerat två. Eleverna har bland annat tränat på att tala, lyssna, skriva och fantisera.

The aim for this essay is to investigate students attitudes to a local schoolboard with student majority to determin the level of functionality, relevancy and interest for this schoolboard among the students in a Swedish gymnasium in Örebro. This is done by distibution of a questionnaire form to a third of the students in the third grade . The results show that the attitudes overall amongst the students are positive, although the level of interest is low. One explanation for this low level of interest could be the lack of information from the school board to the students..

This report is about how accessibility in Eskilstuna's central trade street Kungsgatan can be improved, based on my background as spatial configuration designer, and by Eskilstuna's residents' opinions. In this report I explain what methods I have used, and how I attained my results. The goal of this project was to create ideal accessibility in the central part of Kungsgatan in Eskilstuna. Since Fristadstorget was rebuilt, and since the city is growing in terms of housing and residents, accessibility will in the near future be even more limited for visitors than it is today. I denna rapport beskrivs arbetet med att ta fram en informationsfolder till Eskilstuna kommun som vänder sig till ungdomar. Syftet med informationsfoldern är att övertyga ungdomar om att Eskilstuna kommun är en attraktiv arbetsgivare och arbetsplats, då en stor del av kommunens anställda snart har gått i pension. Kommunen saknar sedan tidigare informationsmaterial som vänder sig till yngre invånare.Utformningen av foldern är baserad på budskapsstrategier, retorik och stilistik samt tidigare studier om Eskilstuna kommun, årsplan, styrdokument och intervjuer med anställda i kommunen. Rapporter om gymnasieungdomars värderingar, analys av informationsbroschyrer riktade till ungdomar samt fokusgrupp är ytterligare metoder som har legat till grund för framställningen av foldern..

I de fem kommunerna som omfattas gäller utökade rättigheter att använda finska i kontakt med myndigheter, samt i förskola och äldrevård. Eftersom flertalet finsktalande i Sverige bor utanför det befintliga finska förvaltningsområdet gjordes en utredning för att se vilka konsekvenserna skulle bli av ett utökat finskt förvaltningsområde. Det skulle omfatta Mälardalen, där Eskilstuna är en av kommunerna med stor finsk befolkning.I en jämförande studie av hur Eskilstuna synliggör sin finsktalande befolkning och hur arbetsgivare ser på finska språket visade sig några intressanta skillnader. Eskilstuna kommun hade den enda helt finska hemsidan men samtliga undersökta kommuner hade mycket lite finsk närvaro på hemsidan.

Examensarbetet har innefattat att utforma ett inredningsförslag till restaurangen Down Town i Eskilstuna. Förslaget har anpassats till den primära målgruppen studenter i åldersgruppen 18 ? 35, på Mälardalens högskola i Eskilstuna. Vår uppdragsgivare har en vision om att restaurangen i framtiden ska bli en naturlig mötesplats, där studenter till förmånliga priser kan äta lunch och umgås. In this essay I will analyze how the poor relief was used in Eskilstuna during the years of 1883 to 1913. In the records over who took allowance from the authorities it will also be mention the year of birth, which block the person lived in, sometimes if that person had any children, and if the person was a women it was often written down what profession the (often dead) husband have had when he was alive, or as an alternative what the fathers profession had been and finally its notified how much the person had every month in allowance.I want to see how the poor relief changed over time. I will do four close checkups, i choose the years 1883, 1893, 1903 and 1913. I will read in the records and compare how many it was that needed the poor relief for that year and further on I will mark out where these people was living in Eskilstuna city. For that propose I will use a map from 1890 and mark out every block in town that received the allowance.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur en andratidning försöker överleva i ett medieklimat där ägarkoncentration och marknadskrafter är något som karakteriserar dagspressen. Syftet med uppsatsen är att se vilka strategier den lokala andratidningen Folket, som ägs av Eskilstuna Kuriren-koncernen, använder sig av för att överleva. Uppsatsen syftar också till att undersöka huruvida det är möjligt för Folket att konkurrera om nyheterna med Eskilstuna Kuriren när de måste hålla sig inom andra ekonomiska ramar eller om Folket försöker fungera som ett komplement till Eskilstuna Kuriren. Slutligen avser uppsatsen att undersöka redaktionskulturen på Folket. Frågeställningarna jag vill ha svar på är hur Folkets redaktionskultur ser ut, hur och på vilket sätt Folket konkurrerar med, eller kompletterar, Eskilstuna Kuriren samt vilka strategier Folket använder sig av för att överleva.

In Eskilstuna and Sweden in general the level of reuse of surplus material containing soils and rocks from excavation is low. In this report the potential for increasing the reuse of excavated material in Eskilstuna by using a web-based earth information database has been examined. The purpose of a web-based earth information database is to connect those who have surplus material with those who need material for a fast and simple transaction. The intention is to give Eskilstuna a more environmentally and economically efficient handling of surplus material by increasing the level of reuse and thereby reducing the amount of surplus material that is wasted and emissions given off to the atmosphere during transportation. The potential has been examined in two different ways, by tracing information about a number of projects to see if excavated material driven to the dump could have been used in another project and by interviewing eight of the work leaders active in Eskilstuna.
